Our Mission Statement: moving people into a deeper relationship with God

About 500 people attend Brooks Avenue each Sunday, and we have dozens of volunteers working hard to make sure all visitors are welcomed and encouraged, and to ensure that your experience with the Lord’s church is one you will remember.

The congregation spans a range of ages and backgrounds. You’ll see people in the pews dressed in all styles – from jeans to business suits. Brooks Avenue offers worship that is designed to draw us closer to God, singing that reflects the music of our hearts and sermons from God’s word that are relevant and application driven.

Children are welcome to attend worship services; we also offer a fully staffed nursery for children ages 6 months to 2 years old. We also have a Kingdom Kids worship service especially for children (ages 2 years through kindergarten) on Sunday morning

“The Waiting is the Hardest Part”

Rom. 8:18-39

I’m reminded of the title of a song by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers,  “The Waiting is the Hardest Part.” Is that not true of life and faith? Whether its waiting for the results of an MRI as to whether or not you have cancer, or waiting on the return of the Lord, waiting is one of the hardest things we do in life and in faith. In the message we will deal with two questions: HOW are we to wait?  WHY do we wait?

Dennis Conner bring  the lesson.
