Don McLaughlin
Don McLaughlin graduated from Harding
University in Searcy, Arkansas, with a bachelor's
degree in Bible and a minor in New Testament
Greek. Prior to North Atlanta, he and his family
served with churches in Anderson, Indiana, and
Byesville, Ohio. Don has been a minister with
North Atlanta since his arrival with his wife,
Susan, and their four children in July 1997. In
addition to his pulpit ministry with North Atlanta,
Don speaks at conferences around the country
for university students, youth, congregations, and lectureships. He
has also written many studies and guides for outreach and leadership training.
His first book, "Heaven in the Real World", was published in February 1997 by Howard Publishing.

Dr. Jerry Taylor
Dr. Jerry Andrew Taylor is a native of Covington, Tennessee. He attended public school in West
Tennessee graduating from Millington Central High School in 1980. He went on to attend Southwestern
Christian College in Terrell, Texas graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1984.
Dr. Taylor furthered his education by entering Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University
in 1984 graduating with a Master of Divinity degree in 1988. He also completed his Doctor of Ministry degree
at Southern Methodist University, Dallas in May of 1995.
Dr. Taylor has served as the minister of churches of Christ in Texas, North Carolina and Georgia. He presently
serves as Assistant Professor of Bible at Abilene Christian University and Associate Preaching Minister at the
Highland church of Christ in Abilene. He travels extensively speaking in workshops, retreats, lectureships,
gospel meetings and conferences.
Dr. Taylor is married to Patricia (Bowden) Taylor formerly of Houston, Texas. They have been married for 15
years and have two children, Alisha (12) and Jeremiah (8). The Taylor family has lived in Abilene,
Texas since December 2002.

Marilyn Jobe
Marilyn Bennett Jobe, was born in Houston and raised in nearby Baytown.
She received a B.S. degree in Education from Lamar University in Beaumont,
Texas and completed her Master's degree at Texas A&M; University - Corpus
Christi. She and her husband, the late Roger Bennett, lived on the Gulf
Coast for 25 years. They raised three children, Roger, Andy and Kimberly.
Their children are now happily married to Beth, Katie, and Kyle. She
has five grandchildren.
Marilyn taught elementary school for 17 years. She is an author, having
written for Instructor Magazine, Christian Bible Teacher,
and Early Childhood Educator. She authored the book, A
Visitor's Guide to the Texas Coastal Bend.
For the past several years she has spoken at retreats and Ladies' Days
throughout Texas and has spoken at the Abilene Christian University
Lectureship. Along with her husband Chuck, she worships with the Woodlands
Oaks Church of Christ. There, she teaches classes for women and has
served as curriculum coordinator for women's and children's Bible studies.
She loves spoiling her husband and playing with her grandchildren. She
feels blessed that her children married wonderful Christians, and that
they have given her beautiful grandbabies. Colten, Maddie, Claire, Seth,
and Laura light up her life.

Song Leaders

Michael Polutta was born and raised in Charleston, SC. He is a 1984 graduate
of David Lipscomb. He lives and works in Atlanta, with his lovely wife Natalie
and their two daughters, Lauren and Rachel. He serves as deacon and Worship
minister with the Burnt Hickory congregation in Marietta, GA.

Harding Good News Singers
The Good News Singers are
an a cappella performance
group sponsored by the Harding University Department of
Music. The group performs a
variety of uplifting spiritual
songs for churches and other
organizations across the
country. Specializing in close harmony and soul stirring arrangements,
the Good News Singers lead worship and praise assemblies for all
ages. Their repertoire includes hymns, southern gospel songs, spirituals, devotional songs and original tunes.
