Dear
brethren,
The Batangas and Lipa cities Medical-Denial Mission done
last June 2-4, resulted in the treatment of 2,602 who availed of the free clinics.
On top of that, hundreds of seekers were contacted for bible studies. My wile
and I were unable to go due to my health condition, as she does the daily dressings
of my wound except at times when we confer with our doctor. Shinar LaVerne.
my daughter did not make it due to some pressing circumstance, but my son. Shemer
EmoiDwayne was able to go and helped with the health clinic pharmacy. He related
to us all that transpired during the three-day activity.
The 7th of June was devoted to the marking of bibles
and bible lesson preparation and I handled a class on the 8th Communications
were done with a brother on the 9th in Cagayan de Oro city, and my son and I
participated the church forum on the 10th. We were together again on the 11
in a bible study. I marked my bibles on the 13th, prepared my lesson on the
14th and handled a Sunday class on the 15th. My wife invited a handful of visitors
who were with us during the bible study and worship.
I had text messages meeting with the MARCH president
re the health mission in Siquijor island on the 16th. A tentative schedule is
set this Oct.20-25, travel time included, which I concurred. We officers of
March engaged in text message meetings as they save us time and resources when
the agenda is brief. On the 18th we consulted with our doctor and on the 19th
participated the BPFLC meeting. Had my message prepared, computerized it on
the 20th and prepared my Sunday class lesson on the 2lst. I handled a class
on the 22nd and was the morning and evening speaker also during assembly. A
controversial issue on sporting long hair was published in the Midtown Informer
that day and many became furious. They urged me to write against the absurd
article which I did in the days that followed.
Marking bibles were done on the 23rd and got text messages
from Negros re some problems. I chaired the church forum on the 24th and to
remedy the raging controversy we installed an Editorial Board for the Midtown
Informer to guard against a similar predicament. I worked on the reaction article
on the 25th, refined it and submitted the same on the 26th for publication.
Lesson preparation was done on the 28th and I handled a class on the 29th We
Got text messages of the survey done in Siquijor island for the health mission
on the 1st of July and joined the church forum that day. I handled another study
on the 2nd prepared my sermon on the 3rd & 4th. Lesson preparation was done
on the 5th and swapped with another teacher for a larger class on the 6th also
joined the workshop yesterday afternoon along with my son.
My son was the morning and evening speaker yesterday
at Midtown and we are very proud of him! During the gone by years he was our
problem as he was not devoted to the Lord Now he spends much time in doing home
bible studies, visitations and pulpit preachings. His changed came about over
a year ago when I took him with me to the missions and since then had been gradually
devoting himself in church activities. Hopefully this coming Sunday, I will
also be the morning and evening speaker aside from the class that I will handle.
Brethren, all is well with us except for my wound. Continuing
staggering expenses on account of my health failure files up. I desire to join
with my family in the Siquijor health mission this October, so please help me
pray my incision will heal by then. Thank you so much for all your prayers and backings
and for Mom Fails who provides most of the funding for the missions! God bless
you for all the undertakings you have done and for being a great part in the
labors done on this part of the globe!
Yours
in His love and labors,
