Dear brethren,
January 3 and 4 were days when I contacted a brother from Balascog, Tayasan, Negros Oriental, who had been in Baguio city for over four months, but did not find our place of worship. Thus on the 5th fetched him from his location and took him to the Midtown assembly and did the same for three consecutive Sundays. On the 5th Sunday, he was on his own as I was out of city in answer to an invitation to speak.
Jan.5 was a teaching job for me at Midtown and on the 7th participated the church forum and helped the bible study group on the 8th and on the 10th worked on my sermon outline for the next Sunday speaking job. On the 11th fourteen of us went to faraway Luna, La Union for a bible study. A sister from Australia solicited us to contact her family in that area, and so we did. We had a very prolonged bible study but Mr. Avelino Noble and his son Cesar were not prepared to receive their Lord.
January 12 was a morning and evening speaking job for me at Midtown with two different topics presented. I also taught my second to the last Proverbs class that day as we had a coming new quarter where we handled different classes. On the 14th I joined another church forum and was also at the BPFLCI that day. On the 15th we hosted the Care group gathering and our study was on Micah chapter 7.
On the 19th I had an edification talk with a sister by phone and on the 19th handled my final class in the book of Proverbs. The 20th was a similar contact by phone and on the 21st participated the church forum. Five of us in the family went to the US Embassy on Jan.22nd for interview and came home that evening after a very devastating experience. On the 23rd my wife joined the ladies activity and on the 24th busied myself preparing for a message for Cabanatuan city.
The 25th was a men’s activity I participated in Camp John Hay and on the 26th Sarah, Shemer, EmolDwayne and myself rouse up early for Cabanatuan city where we congregated with the brethren. My message was on “Building the House of the Lord” based on Haggat. It was a special gathering of congregations assembled in that city and after that we had a fellowship lunch.
I worked again on my Negros Evangelism Summer Campaigns 2003 on the 27th and did some changes and on the 28th joined the forum once again. My family attended the joint care group gathering at Marlett’s on the 29. Worked on my message on the 30 and finalized it Feb.1st and delivered it yesterday morning. I also had my chain reference and posting class yesterday in Midtown.
Brethren, we are extremely grateful for all your prayers
and financial backings so we are able to pursue in doing the labors of the Lord.
May the Lord supply you with even greater physical blessings so you can continue
to work hand in hand with us! Thank you also for your invitation to visit your
congregation which my wife and I hope to do this December break Lord willing!
