The Mission Statement:

The Special Needs Class at Brooks Avenue Church of Christ welcomes individuals who are affected by physical and/or mental challenges, to serve them with God’s blessings in an atmosphere of acceptance, so that their parents/guardians may attend Bible classes and Worship service and enjoy peace of mind.

The Mission's objectives:

The Special Needs Ministry at Brooks Avenue Church of Christ welcomes individuals and their families who are affected by disabilities.

We have the opportunity to serve God by serving others in the following ways:

-Providing classes on Sunday mornings that welcome individuals with a diversity of physical and/or mental challenges.

-Working with parents/guardians in order to provide an experience that reinforces the goals each family is working toward.

-Sharing God's blessings through songs, prayers, crafts, fun activites (both individually and in groups when possible), reading and watching wholesome
materials, in an atmosphere of acceptance...

-Thankful for the rich blessings that come from those who we seek to serve.

Purpose: To offer an opportunity for peace of mind to all parents/guardians that their responsiblities are temporarily relieved, and gladly ours, while they attend Bible Classes and Worship Service.
