Ministry Opportunities

As Jesus Christ transforms your life, you will want to serve others in His name. Our ministries are built around our God-given skills and abilities, referred to in Scripture as "spiritual gifts." We have ministry groups that are actively exercising the many diverse gifts of the members at Brooks.

The whole body grows and builds itself up in love as each part does its work. (Ephesians 4:16)

  • Divorce Care identifies a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as the foundation for healing.
  • We feel prayer is the jet fuel that keeps the group and program going. We pray in the group meeting for special needs before each meeting and at the close of each meeting.
  • The format of this program consists of prayer, a short review of the prior week and member's experiences/questions, viewing a 30 minute tape (including topics such subjects such as forgiveness, finances, children, anger) and group discussion of questions regarding the subjects of the tapes, scriptures that support each lesson and/or any special concerns someone may need to discuss. Each meeting is closed with a prayer.
  • This is a 13 week program in which professional Christian counselors address various topics that people going through divorce encounter. The purpose is to promote their healing and center on their relationship with Christ as key. Each participant purchases a workbook. It is recommended that each person go through at least two thirteen-week programs.
